Hello ! My name is Riki and I have been in nature education with children for the last 6 years- whether it was with a gardening nonprofit that taught children how to grow nourishing food and embrace food justice, or working with various wildlife rehabilitations and leading education days. I am extremely grateful to have found Treehouse after a cross country road trip from Massachusetts. I admire that the Treehouse not only teaches our students about homesteading and gardening , but also about having a relationship with their emotions that doesn’t shut down their anger and sadness, but rather teaches children to ask for space and communicate how they feel in a healthy way. I am still currently in school for a Buddhist approach to psychology, and feel my experience here is vital for my future in child psychology. On my free time I love making big papier mache heads, having big dinners with my friends, gardening, and exploring nature as much as possible
