The Treehouse, a Forest Garden School celebrates the cycles of the year through a rich and vibrant festival life. Celebrating these festivals helps us to connect with the natural cycle of the Earth and establish a yearly rhythm for our children. Through these festivals, the school cultivates community among children, teachers, parents and friends.

Festivals help us to nourish our souls through the sharing of stories, food, songs and activities linked to the seasons and expressed with beauty and reverence. In addition to the community-wide festivals listed here, teachers celebrate other festivals in the classroom, including those connected to different cultures being studied.

"A festival has the quality of lifting us out of the ordinary and into the mysteries and magic of the rhythm of the seasons."

Rainbow Bridge Ceremony
5-6pm
As the year draws to a close, we prepare to honor one of the most meaningful moments in a child’s journey—crossing the threshold from one stage of growth to the next. In Waldorf tradition, these transitions are held with deep reverence, celebrating each child’s unfolding path with warmth and intention. At Treehouse we celebrate this with our Rainbow Bridge Ceremony. This is a meaningful time to honor the children who are graduating or transitioning out of the program either at the end of the school year, or at the end of summer camps. This is a heartfelt moment where we celebrate each child moving on in their journey and send them forward with love and blessings from our community. Our Rainbow Bridge Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 13th from 5:00–6:00 PM. 🌈Children attending are invited to come dressed in their favorite color of the rainbow—or wear rainbows from head to toe! 🌈We will not be having a full potluck for this celebration—just light appetizers and drinks—and a sign-up sheet will be shared soon. 🌈IMPORTANT CHANGE: To keep the event comfortable and joyful, this year’s graduation will be a smaller gathering. We have found in past years that it's typically only graduates and a few others that attend so we have decided to go with this organic flow moving forward. All graduating students and their extended families are invited to attend. If your child is not graduating but your family would like to be present, you are welcome to add your name to the waitlist—we’ll be in touch if there is available space.
