I'm so happy to join Treehouse Forest Garden School's excellent faculty as Co-Lead Acorn teacher, providing care for our littlest friends. This is such an important role in facilitating growth in the foundational earliest years of life, which I hold dearly in my heart and enjoy so much. I love the emphasis on nature and time outdoors that Treehouse offers, and the intention to have a gentle transition from home life into care and a community focused on healthy child development and intentional family support.

I have been an early childhood educator since I was employed in the early childhood program at the Portland Waldorf School in 2000, when my own children were in Kindergarten. Since then, I completed Waldorf Teacher Training at the Micha-el Institute in Portland, and have worked in various Waldorf in-home programs in Portland as well as Cedarwood Waldorf School, Wasatch Waldorf School in Salt Lake City as Hearthkeeper in a remedial teaching position, and most recently as the Parent and Child Teacher at Westside Waldorf School in Los Angeles. I now have 3 grown children in their twenties and love spending my free time at the beach!

My formal and professional education and certifications include an MA in Somatic Psychotherapy from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, Lifeways training, RIE Foundations (Resources for Infant Educarers) and I'm a Certified Simplicity Parenting Group Leader through the Center for Social Sustainability with Kim John Payne.

I bring a genuine love for young children and a special affinity for this age group, combined with a deep understanding of child development and the needs of modern children in our world today. I am committed to guiding these brave and beautiful souls toward their unique destinies, in the most kind, positive, and nurturing way.
